While some aspects of the miniature grayscale painting are fully rendered, others are not and are simply blocked in with a more painterly approach. The faucet and drains of this silver double bowl sink have extremely fine details, leaving no question about light and shadow. The rest of the sink is comprised of quick, loose gestures that indicate highlights and shadows and reveals process. A few thin light lines around the sink imply the counter space and keep the sink grounded without drawing attention away from it.
